Public Engagement Workshops Announced: Siskiyou County Evacuation and Preparedness Plan

Siskiyou County residents are invited to participate in an upcoming series of public engagement workshops as part of the Siskiyou County Evacuation and Preparedness Plan.

This second round of workshops will take place in five regional locations—Butte Valley, Scott Valley, South County, Happy Camp/Hwy 96 Corridor, and North County. These in-person meetings are an important opportunity for community members to learn about the plan and provide valuable input.

The workshops, led by The Resiliency Initiative, will focus on presenting the coordination and communication strategies developed for the Plan.

What to expect:

  • Interactive evacuation preparedness activities
  • Discussions about evacuation coordination and communication
  • Opportunities for community networking

Each workshop will also include a dedicated public input session, allowing residents to share feedback, concerns, and local knowledge to help strengthen the final plan.

Community participation is essential to ensuring the plan reflects the needs and priorities of Siskiyou County residents.
