Representing the needs of transit dependent and transit disadvantaged persons.
The Social Services Transportation Advisory Council (SSTAC) was established under the requirements of the Transportation Development Act. One of SSTAC’s primary responsibilities is to annually identify and review unmet transit needs that may exist within the region. To submit an unmet transit need for consideration visit the Resources section to submit a Request for Service.
Pursuant to PUC § 99238 the SCLTC is required to establish a Social Services Transportation Advisory Council (SSTAC).
SSTAC consists of the following representatives:
- One representative of potential transit users who are 60 years of age or older.
- One representative of potential transit user who are disabled.
- Two representatives of the local social service providers for seniors.
- Two representatives of local social service providers for the disabled.
- One representative of social service provider for persons of limited means.
- Two representatives from the local consolidated transportation service agency.
- Member-At-Large Appointment
STAGE - Request for Service
All major route changes or requests for new service are referred to the Social Services Transportation Advisory Council (SSTAC). SSTAC reviews requests throughout the year and makes recommendation to the SCLTC regarding improvements to transit services. (Next paragraph) Do you have an unmet transit need you want considered? Please complete the Request for Service form and return it to the Siskiyou County Transit Center, any STAGE driver, or submit via email to stage@co.siskiyou.ca.us.
