From safer crossings and sidewalks, to better bike lanes, be a part of our community’s transportation future.
Siskiyou County Local Transportation Commission (SCLTC) has been working with Alta Planning + Design, Inc. and Siskiyou Outdoor Recreation Alliance (SORA) to prepare a countywide Active Transportation Plan (ATP). The plan focuses on identifying and prioritizing active transportation infrastructure projects, programs, and policies to meet the needs of the community. The plan focuses on identifying opportunities to make it easier for people to walk, bike, and use mobility devices to get around. These facilities connect residents and visitors with schools, parks, businesses, health care, transit, and other important destinations. Our team in the final stages of plan development and will be posting the final draft for public comment soon.
This project is funded by a grant from the California Transportation Commission’s Active Transportation Program.
